Contacting the students
Students are usually invited to the respective survey by e-mail. For this purpose, the e-mail addresses of the module participants are entered into the evaluation database when they register for the modules. Students are automatically contacted by the ZEM by e-mail at the beginning of the survey period. The e-mail contains a link and an individualized password that enables access to the survey. Within the selected survey period, two reminder e-mails are sent to students who have not yet taken part in the survey.
In the event that it is not possible to contact students by e-mail, the ZEM offers two alternatives. Alternative 1 provides for all lecturers involved in the module to receive a link via e-mail to the survey and a common password for all students after the module has been released, but at the earliest two weeks before the start of the survey period. The link, the password and the module ID must be made known to the students of the module, who can then participate in the module and course evaluation for the respective module. Alternative 2 provides the evaluator or the person registering with a PDF document containing a list of individual passwords and the survey link after the module has been released, but no earlier than two weeks before the start of the survey period. This document must be printed out and cut up. Each module participant should receive a section with the link and an individual password so that they can take part in the module and course evaluation.
