Information for involved parties
Here you will find relevant information for all interest groups involved in the university evaluation:
The evaluation officer coordinates with the ZEM the adaptation of the registration system and, if necessary, the questionnaire, and ensures that the module and course information is entered into the evaluation database. In accordance with the evaluation regulations, the evaluation project group draws up a list of objectives and measures for the organizational unit. The evaluation officer informs the dean about the results of the evaluation project group's work.
The speed of the entire process from an initial discussion with the ZEM to the adapted evaluation system depends heavily on the need for change. The evaluator should allow sufficient time for the adaptation process and the technical implementation and review, ideally four to six months.
Changes and adjustments to the system should be agreed with the ZEM at an early stage.
For each organizational unit, the ZEM requires information about the courses offered by the organizational unit. At module level, this includes the type of examination (final or partial module examinations), options within the modules and information on whether the respective course is clearly assigned to a module and whether modules extend over several semesters. At course level, information is required on possible coursework, course types, the maximum possible number of lecturers involved and possible parallel courses. It must also be specified whether the lecturers involved may add their own questions and detailed objectives.
In principle, individual lecturers are not required to intervene in the evaluation of modularized courses.
Lecturers are informed by email when they register their respective course for evaluation. If the organizational unit has agreed to this, each lecturer can formulate their own questions and detailed objectives at course level.
Lecturers can also object to the survey results being passed on to students.
Students are usually invited to take part in the survey by e-mail. They receive one e-mail per module. If the lecturers have not objected to the survey results being passed on, students will receive the results report at the end of the survey period.
